The Community of Finca Potrero
Through an ecotourism project, the community of Finca Potrero is offering an opportunity for a cultural experience by sharing the customs, food, history, worries and dreams of a rural indigenous community. This is part of a regional project based on a proposal from the communities themselves, financed by the World Bank, Project ICD (Indigenous Community Development) and administered by the INAI (National Institute of Indigenous Affairs), a part of the Ministry of National Social Development (MDS)
Cultural Ecotourism-Experiencing Different Cultures
In the community of Iruya, Argentina, we are working to develop cultural ecotourism while respecting local traditions and culture. We would like tourism to not only be a source of earnings for the people but also a way to revive and maintain traditions. Our goal is to foster a lasting development that will benefit the entire community and provide a type of dignified tourism based on a fair exchange of payment for services rendered.More info.
